Fifth Week

First week - Guidance Office

August 14 2017, Day 16

Today I was engage to another work place, new head, new environment, and new challenges to face. I started my duty at 12:58 in the afternoon, I immediately face my task, to compile the issuance of school supplies for school year 2017-2018. After compiling, i was asked to compile the tables of specification for school year 2016-2017. I finished my duty at 6:05 in the afternoon.

August 15 2017, Day 17

I was tasked to observe the grade 11 class then Dr. Galicia our school principal, asked me to help her post her visual aides. I returned to the guidance office to resume my task, I cut out the teachers name then put it in the diary cabinet. After that, I compiled the issuance supplies for school year 2016-2017.

August 16 2017, Day 18

I started my duty by continuing the task given to me yesterday. I cut out the needed materials for the teachers profiling. Then I compiled the school policy agreement form given to the student last 2016-2017 school year. I then give the lecture to the grade 11 students that was left by Dr. Galicia.

August 17 2017, Day 19

I started my duty at 12:57 in the afternoon. I then continued my task, to arrange the teachers profile according to credentials, seminar certificate, conduct, and other. Then teacher marian asked me to counsel kian of grade one because of his violation. Then I was also asked to train the I read contestant for the kinder festival.

August 18 2017, Day 20

I started my duty at 12:57 in the afternoon. I then continued arranging the profile of every teacher employed in the institution. After the profiling, I was tasked to copy and encode the LRN of the students enrolled in the institution.

Fourth Week

My last week in Sherwood Hills Golf Club

August 8 2017, Day 13

 We arrived 12:49 in the afternoon in Sherwood Hills Golf Club. We were tasked to cut out the stars for the decorations for the upcoming wedding. After that, we returned to the Sales Marketing and Management office, we were then tasked to download music for the wedding ceremonies to be held in Sherwood Hills.

 August 9 2017, Day 14

I arrived 1:01 in the afternoon in Sherwood Hills Golf Club. We then continued preparing the decorations for the wedding ceremony. We put Gold Colored Glitters to the Styrofoam Stars that we're cutting these past few days. We glittered the side part of the stars then continue putting the finishing touches on the decorations.

August 10 2017, Day 15

We arrived at 1:19 in the afternoon in Sherwood Golf Club. We started doing our task to finish the decorations for an event. Then we proceed to the food and beverage department, there we put linens around the silverware. That was my final task in Sherwood Hills, my last day of my ojt in sherwood hills golf club has come to an end on this day.

Third Week

Third Week of Work Immersion - Sherwood Hills Golf Club

August 1 2017, Day 8

We arrived in Sherwood at around 1:15 in the afternoon. Ma'am Sai gave me a task, she asked me to arrange the papers from the latest to the oldest record. Right after the paper arrangement Rei John, Jamil, and I were tasked to proceed to the engineering department, there we received a lecture about the parts of an air conditioning unit. We also used Multi-tester, Clamp Ammeter and Welding Unit under the supervision of Sir Paulo. He also showed us the air conditioning system of Sherwood Hills.

August 3 2017, Day 9

We arrived at Sherwood Hills Golf Club at around 12:57 in the afternoon. Ma'am Marie then showed us the As-Built Plan of Sherwood Hills. Right after, Sir Bert endorsed us in the Engineering Department. There Sir Paulo, introduced to us the different materials needed in welding and cutting steels and metals such as welding tip, cutting torch, welding mask, welding gloves, tube cutter, welding machine, and acetylene unit. He also taught us how to mix acetylene gas and oxygen needed for welding and cutting steels.

August 4 2017, Day 10

We arrived at 12:58 in the afternoon. Sir Bert then tasked us to cut out the decoration specifically the stars needed for the decoration of the wedding ceremony to be held on August 19 2017. After our task, Sir Paulo gave us the print outs regarding the Engineering Department.

August 5 2017, Day 11

We arrived at Sherwood Golf Club early in the morning. Ma'am Sai tasked me and Rei John to sort of the music in Sales Marketing and Management Laptop. After sorting we were assigne to the Food and Beverage Department, there we helped preparing and cooking the orders of Sherwood's Client. i experience cooking ramen and Bulgogi, we also sorted out the ingredients according to their kilograms. After that, we were tasked to prepare and cook turon.

August 6 2017, Day 12

I arrived 7:44 in the morning. I then proceed to the kitchen to asko for directives from Chef Jovel. I peeled off onions then prepared Lumpia. Sir Orly also assigned me to cook ramen for the customers orders. Then we were tasked to wipe off eating utensils and silverwares. After everything, Sir Dennis asked Jamil and I to help him in the inventory report of the food and beverage department.

Second Week Of Work Immersion - Sherwood Hills Golf Club

July 25 2017, Day 4

I arrived in Sherwood Hills Golf Club at 12:55 in the afternoon, we then begin doing our task. We were asked to encode datas that were needed by the Sales Marketing and Management Department. After encoding the data, we proceeded to the storage room, there we arrange the stocks such as decorative materials and props.

July 26 2017, Day 5

We arrived at our work place at 1:50 in the afternoon. We were toured by Ma'am Marie to the different departments of Sherwood Golf Club. After the tour, we then returned to the Sales Marketing and Management Department, there Ma'am Marie explained the work flow of the whole club event and golf. She also explained the stock distribution of the sherwood company. She then assigned us to the different department based on the profession that we want to pursue in the near future.

July 18 2017, OJT Day 1

Our team arrived in the Work Immersion Area at 1:56 in the afternoon. We proceed to the sales and marketing office, there we waited for our head officer, Ma'am Marie. She gave us an overview about pur training. After the discussion, we asked for directives, she tasked us to help in arranging the reception hall. We arranged the eating utensils that was used during a wedding reception held earlier in the morning. After the completion of the task we ended our duty at 5:00 in the afternoon.

July 19 2017, OJT Day 2

Our team started for second day training at 12:56 in the afternoon. Ma'am Marie immediately gave us a task, she assigned us in the food and beverage department. There our traineer, Sir Andrew, asked us to dry te eating utensils. He also asked us to cover the spoon and fork with table napkins. He also teached us how to department, we returned to the sales and marketing office. Ma'am Sai gave us another directive, she tasked us to organize the sales and marketing department.


July 22 2017, OJT Day 3

My duty started early in the morning, we've been immediately assigned to assist in arranging the venue of the wedding to be held in that morning also. We were tasked to decorate the chairs with ribbons and also the entrance hall. After the preparations, we witness a beautiful event, the Wedding.

After the wedding is the reception, sets of messages for the newlyweds were rendered. We were tasked to serve food towards the guest, we were handled by the Sherwood's resident chef. After the reception, we were tasked to assist in cleaning and arranging the reception area.

                  Sometimes a person needs a somewhat motivation for him to strive hard. We all have that certain someone or somthing right? Whether family, friends, or even your enemy. Sometimes motivation comes from different medium: books, letters, and in my case a video.

"Team work Motivational Video" - RN Productions

Surfing through the internet specifically in youtube can enable us to gain another motivation. In my case, I found this video made by the RN Productions. I was astonished by the message of the video "You can do miracles, you can fly, you can do like everything", it means that when a person strive hard he can be anything. But without the proper support, he can't do it. And this is where work immersion comes. Work Immersion will be the support towards achieving ones goal. This will be our foundation, our roots so that we can go strong enough to face the real world. And more importantly, Work Immersion aims to develop our ability to cooperate. Cooperation is equally important with a persons tenacity.

Work Immersion: An overview of the Reality

"Student's life greatly differ from the real life" a statement usually thought to us by our teachers and of course our parent. And of course as a student let me first give you an overview about my personal characteristics as a person. My name is Angelo Geronga, 16 years old, currently living in Brgy. Hugo Perez located in the city of Trece Martires in Cavite Province. I was raised by my loving parents, Amiel Geronga and Josifin Geronga. I am currently enrolled as a Grade 12 student taking up General Academic Strand in Sto. Niño De Praga Academy of La Paz Homes II Inc. Life was really not easy for me, living without my father at my side because he was working overseas, the feeling was incomparable. Somethings not right, something was missing.
