"Student's life greatly differ from the real life" a statement usually thought to us by our teachers and of course our parent. And of course as a student let me first give you an overview about my personal characteristics as a person. My name is Angelo Geronga, 16 years old, currently living in Brgy. Hugo Perez located in the city of Trece Martires in Cavite Province. I was raised by my loving parents, Amiel Geronga and Josifin Geronga. I am currently enrolled as a Grade 12 student taking up General Academic Strand in Sto. Niño De Praga Academy of La Paz Homes II Inc. Life was really not easy for me, living without my father at my side because he was working overseas, the feeling was incomparable. Somethings not right, something was missing.
But I do understand the situation he's doing it for our own sake, he's doing it for our future. But one day I suddenly realize that there was one thing more difficult than what I have experienced in life, something that was very challenging and of course surprising, and that was Education. For the past 13 years, I experienced countless challenges in my life as a student: homeworks, activities, and projects. And now as I take another step towards achieving my goal another challenge was unfolded and that was the Work Immersion.
Before I give you the details of my Work Immersion let me first give you my self definition of Work Immersion. Work Immersion also known as On the Job Training was introduced in the curriculum to give students an overview to the real world, it was also introduced so that students may be enlightened about the profession that they will pursue in the future. Sounds exciting right? But actually my emotions were mixed when our teacher stated that we will be engaged in Work Immersion. A mixture of nervousness because of the unknown and excitement of what this unknown thing might give to us.
In this Work Immersion, I will be engaged to various work grounds or should I say training grounds cause that's what work immersion was all about, to train students and to develop future professionals. I will be engaged in Sherwood Golf Club, Pro Dental Clinic, and school works.
This training will be rigorous that's for sure, but another thing is for sure we will learn a lot, experience a lot, and change a lot as a individual.
